Message From the Principal

On Friday, we had a Spirit Assembly featuring the character pillar of Gratitude. It was great seeing our kids as they planned and performed flawlessly. We are grateful at Robinson to have so many wonderful parents and students that make our little school by the sea so amazing.  I am already looking forward to the next assembly.

It was great seeing so many of our students and parents walking on the strand for the Sketchers Pier to Pier walk on Sunday.  We are so grateful at Robinson to be able to walk for others that might not be able to walk for themselves.

SKECHERS Friendship Walk A Success

Thank you to all of the families who joined in on Sunday's SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk to raise money for our schools. We had a great showing of Robinson students, and Splash was there to support and cheer on our walkers every step of the way. Robinson and MBEF thank you for your support! Special thanks to our Community Service co-chairs, Schuyler Chang and Dina Stephens, for promoting and organizing Robinson's participation in this event.

This Program Benefits the Entire Student Body

MBUSD is proud to support physical education led by trained educators in our elementary schools. Each week, our credentialed and passionate PE teachers provide 100 minutes of physical education – instilling an early love of sportsmanship, teamwork, and exercise. This healthy addition to our curriculum is made possible by your support. Please give generously today.   mbef.org/givetoday

What does the PTSA mean to your child?

The PTSA is our Riptide community and it unites every parent, teacher and student at Robinson.  The PTSA means your child can participate in Young At Art, Growing Great, the 3 Piggy Opera, and Hip Hop.  The PTSA means your child is learning with MakerSpace activities, writing resources and classroom supplies.  The PTSA means your child is safe because of campus improvements and on-site security cameras.  And the PTSA means your child is having fun with field trips, iPads and yearbooks.

Community Service Project - Operation Gratitude

We are partnering with Operation Gratitude to express our thanks to all who serve our nation. Please join Robinson classmates after school on Thursday, November 2nd to write letters of gratitude to the U.S. Military and First Responder communities for their service, dedication, and sacrifice. Along with student written letters, we will be hosting a candy & toothbrush collection drive to send care packages to the troops.  The drive will take place Nov 1-3.  This event was a big success last year and we hope many students will participate.

Music: An Instrument for Learning

Studies by the U.S. Department of Education show that music in schools helps children learn math, as well as improve cognitive development. Over time, kids with music programs in their schools demonstrate higher math and science proficiency by a significant margin. The strong foundation in music developed in elementary grades has led to our Grammy winning program at Mira Costa. Investing in our Annual Appeal ensures that your child will have music in grades 1-12. mbef.org/givetoday/
