She has the ability to understand the smallest nuances of a learner, examining each child with an expert eye and providing for their needs. Kim’s capabilities to integrate curriculum in exciting and meaningful ways is astounding. She enlivens every lesson using all modalities, encouraging creative and differentiated thinking. Walking into Kim’s room is a veritable tableaux of learning. The walls are rich with print housing beautiful portals of knowledge. Planet Pals Earth Tips
Take a Step: Reduce Irrigation
You can reduce your water usage by 30% to 65% through changes to your landscape irrigation. Mulching with bark or grass clippings will help retain moisture in the soil. Choose drought tolerant plants that thrive in our area. Ask your local nursery for suggestions or find a plant list online at www.bewaterwise.com. Replacing your old irrigation timer with a “smart timer”, will make watering easy by automatically adjusting to the outside weather and moisture conditions. See www.weatherset.com for an example. Make sure the timer is set to come on in the pre-dawn hours to reduce evaporation.
