Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Everyone has been respectful of our drop off circle on Morningside. Thank you for not leaving your car unattended in the circle. Be sure your children ALWAYS use the crosswalks safely. Some parents continue to regularly drop off students at the entrance to the teacher’s parking lot on 1st Street. This area should never be used as a loading and unloading zone. Students riding bikes to school enter through those gates and parents backing up out of the lot put these children in harms way. Thank you for your help in keeping Robinson safe for the children.
The Manhattan Beach Education Foundation will begin its 2008-2009 Annual Appeal campaign next month. Please look for your letter in the mail and consider a generous contribution to your child’s education. At the elementary level, the MBEF will spend $600 per child to secure many of the programs your children enjoy at our schools. If you have a child, you have a reason to give to the MBEF. For a donation form or to donate online, please go to www.MBEF.org or contact your site representative, Kelly Stroman kdstroman@verizon.net.

Robinson Teacher of the Year
We are proud to announce Mrs. Lisa Tanita as
Robinson’s Teacher of the Year!
Mrs. Tanita exemplifies an excellent teacher: patient, kind,
thoughtful, creative, tenacious, brilliant, animated, and curious.
Her lessons are engaging, focusing on the highest expectations and
standards and based on the latest research and best instructional practices.
She is always a team player, whose thoughtful analysis and welcoming
demeanor make her a joy to have as part of our Robinson Family.
Don't miss out! Robinson AdventurePlex Day
Wednesday, June 3, 2009, from 2:30 - 5:00 p.m
Riptides will enjoy an exclusive afternoon at
AdventurePlex, choosing from an
assortment of activities to include...Play
Structure Fun, Rock Wall Climbing (must
sign release), Wii games, crafts,
karaoke, circuit training, and sports court play!
The price is $15 per Riptide and the event will be fully
staffed with AdventurePlex personnel so parents will
not be required to stay during the event. Registering
for the event is easy...Simply print and complete the
attached order form, or pick up a preprinted copy in the
office, and return the form (with check) to Joni in the
Robinson school office. If your schedule is too crazy,

for an additional charge. Questions? Contact Kelton
Durham @ 310-683-8584 or email
ksdurham1@verizon.net.
